Szauce Brownies

Already a classic here at Old School Favorites, we hope you will enjoy these decadent brownies as much as we do!

  • 1 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon sea salt
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 12 ounces browned butter
  • 1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 ½ tablespoons ground coffee
  • 2 ½ cups sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 20 ounces (2.5 jars) Old School Favorites chocolate Szauce
  • Old School Favorites maple Nutsz (optional)

Preheat oven to 350°F. Lightly grease a brownie pan.

In a bowl, combine the flour, salt, and baking powder. Set aside.

Make the browned butter (melt butter in a saucepan over low to medium heat while stirring, until it has a nutty smell and golden color -- be careful not to burn it). Pour the browned butter into a heat-safe mixing bowl and allow it to cool while continuing to stir for about 5 minutes. Add the vanilla and ground coffee. Stir in the sugar and the eggs. Finally add the Szauce and stir until combined.

Fold the dry mixture into the wet mixture. Pour the batter into the prepared brownie pan. If desired, dollop the remaining ½ jar Szauce on top of the batter. Add chopped Old School Favorites Nutsz (optional).  Bake for 25-30 minutes.  Cool, cut, and enjoy!
